Site Preparation: The project began by removing the old lawn and damaged paving slabs, creating a blank canvas for a fresh start. The ground was excavated and levelled to ensure a stable base for the new driveway.
Sub-Base Installation and Bedding Layer:
A solid foundation was laid to ensure longevity and durability and prevent sinking and unevenness over time. Then a smooth layer of sharp sand was evenly spread over the sub-base, creating the perfect bedding layer for the block paving. This sand layer allows for precise adjustment of the individual blocks, ensuring a seamless and level finish.Block Paving Installation:
Charcoal block paving was installed in a herringbone pattern, enhancing the structural integrity of the driveway while also increasing the visual appeal.
